I'm not a newscaster, so I really don't give a fuck what they can say on the air...

The teabagging 'victims' on the right apparently have never heard of googling an unfamiliar term, because they have been calling themselves teabaggers.

Again, as pointed out, its far better to be a teabagger than a teabagee.
Really? Because I never heard any of them refer to themselves that way. The first mention were from those paragons of class and civility at MSNBC and CNN.

And I am gonna go out on a limb and guess that Olbermann, Maddow (ironically), and Anderson didn't have to google anything to know what the term meant.

Wrong.

Teabagging - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I don't see Teabaggers anywhere in that. The first use of the term to describe them was by the left.

And not so surprisingly, it was the left that was already in the know that tea bag had another connotation. But we expect intimate knowledge of all depravity to be par for the course with them.

But when you type your comment on an insignificant political blog buried by the vastness of the internet it isn't funny, unless you're one of those types amazed by your own wittiness.

When you have newscasters doing it, its funny because its so ridiculously crass and pornographic while simultaneously showing the futility of government run censorship:

(from the wikipedia link given above)
Quote:
The term "tea bagging" was quickly co-opted by those critical of the movement. For example, MSNBC's David Shuster who on April 13, accused the protesters of "going nuts for it" and "whip[ping] out the festivities"; wanting to "give President Obama a strong tongue-lashing and lick government spending." He argued that "the people who came up with it are a familiar circle of Republicans including former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, both of whom have backing from right wing financiers and lobbyists." and that "the Fox News Channel, including Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity, both are looking forward to an up close and personal taste of teabagging themselves." He concluded, saying that "If you are planning simultaneous teabagging all around the country, you're going to need a Dick Armey."[14] On April 13,[15] 14,[16] and 15,[17] MSNBC's Rachel Maddow made similar remarks. On April 14[18] and 15,[19] MSNBC's Keith Olbermann made remarks in the same vein, and on April 15, CNN's Anderson Cooper said "It's hard to talk when you're teabagging."[20][21]

Wrong:

Quote:
David Weigel of The Washington Independent photographed a protester holding a sign that read "Tea Bag the Liberal Dems Before They Tea Bag You."[8] The use of the phrase "tea bag" was used by others including Fox News Reporter Griff Jenkins and reteaparty.org. Salon.com, however, pointed out that "teabagging" has long had another meaning
And note that the protester clearly knew what it meant. The liberal bastion Salon.com was actually one of the early sites to point out what it meant.

Well, I guess if libs need to co-op the word to describe conservative protestors, so be it.

Conservatives know that, when applied to libs, the term reverts to its' original perjorative...
