Re: why can one not ignore mods/admins ?

Yeah, i mean technically you can, but it is a violation of the rules.

If you can't do it then the software must have been updated a bit. (I had a mod on ignore for over a year or so but that was some time ago).

But that way you may not get through PM's from them and incase you get an infraction too, so its best to avoid doing it imo.

I guess no one is "working" today. Not that I begrudge them the weekend off. Its a thankless and time consuming job. And the pay usually sux.

You cannot ignore them, at least I cannot.

I see the rule but no explanation. If ignore also blocked PM I guess that might do it.

Oh no, there are some mods about today, just that the answer may have already been provided...

Anyway the forum has been quiet in general, not as many posters come online at the weekend anyway, so not as many staff are needed.

Yeah, it depends per account and what not, but its probably fixed within the settings.

Also it may stop you from reading rule ammendments/announcements etc that are important, and warning posts within threads like "please stay on topic" or to discuss the topic and "not one another" etc.

I'm just speculating, but that what the rule is there for, presumably.

If it makes you feel any better, while there are a handful of folks (mods) you can't have on ignore, the mods aren't allowed to have a single poster on ignore at all, so its much more restrictive on them than it is you...

Just imagine, if you weren't allowed, to have a single person on ignore, ever....
