U.S. deaths in Iraq, war on terror surpass 9/11 toll
I normally do not post body counts but I found this to be interesting. We have lost more Americans in the response to 9/11 than in the actual even itself.

I'm tempted to say: so what ?
America lost more men fighting the Japanese from 1941 to 1945 than in the actual attack at Pearl Harbour itself, does this mean you shouldn't have bothered fighting ? Whether or not going to Iraq was the right way to fight the war on terror is another thing altogether |

Makes no sense to quantify this way. If you want to challenge the wisdom or necessity of invading Iraq fine but bean-counting the dead is senseless.
