Yeah it all sounds kind of bad but..... who was to say they were actually civilians anyways.

How does that saying go.. birds of a feather flock together?

The attacks came as Admiral Michael Mullen, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, met General Ashfaq Kayani, Pakistan’s most senior army officer, and Yousuf Raza Gilani, the country's prime minister, in Islamabad on Wednesday to pledge his "commitment to respect Pakistan's sovereignty".

Admiral Michael Mullen is, evidently, a lying yanqui asshole. That he's also a hypocrite is par for the course.

Sorta like another Michael, as in Michael Moore. A lying phony hypocrite blowhard that has found his niche in the movie-making business and gets filthy-rich producing bullshit.

Nine Afghan soldiers have been killed and three others wounded in an air raid by US-led forces in eastern Afghanistan.

The attack came early on Wednesday in Khost, a province near the Pakistan border, in what a US military spokesperson told Al Jazeera was a misidentification.

Missiles thought to have been fired by the US have killed at least eight students of a religious school in north-western Pakistan, witnesses say.

The school, in North Waziristan, is close to the residence of a fugitive Taleban leader, Jalaluddin Haqqani, witnesses told the BBC Urdu Service.

At least two missiles, reportedly fired by pilotless US drones, hit the school early on Thursday.

The Pakistani army is investigating the incident. The US has made no comment.

Any honest American should be opposing the US invasion of Afghanistan, from here on.

Report;
'US air raid' kills Afghan guards
Quote:
At least 24 security workers at a construction site in Afghanistan's Ghazni province have been killed in suspected US air raids.

The deputy governor of the province southwest of the capital Kabul called Sunday's incident a "brutal attack".

Al Jazeera English - CENTRAL/S. ASIA - 'US air raid' kills Afghan guards
Anybody bothered to total up the number of innocent civilian dead reported in this thread alone ?
The response shouldn't be a lot of wittering about apologies. The response should be at least 24 dead Americans in Afghanistan. If true, a brutal attack by brutal invaders and there can be no excuses.

Quote:
The latest air raids come just days after the Afghan government said an attack by US-led forces killed nine Afghan soldiers in the southeastern province of Khost.

Hundreds of civilians have been killed in operations by Nato and US-led international forces this year, according to Afghan officials and aid groups.

Al Jazeera's Hashem Ahelbarra, reporting from Kabul, said that such an attack had created "an anti-American, anti-British sentiment in the country".
It's come to the point where it's way, way deeper than ' anti-American, anti-British sentiment'.

I don't know about "this thread alone", but someone certainly has tallied up the civilian deaths in the war in Afghanistan due to NATO forces and those due to Taliban pigs.

Let's provide you with some much needed enlightenment, not that it'll get through a thick skull, but first off, you seem to be under the impression that it is only NATO and the US fighting the insurgency. Well it isn't. There are some 116,000 troops in Afghanistan. NATO and US troops account for 51,000. The remaining 65,000 are ANA troops and they now do much of the fighting.

As for civilian deaths, you again seem to be under the impression that they are entirely down to allied forces. Wrong again. It is, in fact, the Taliban and insurgent fighters who are responsible for most civilian casualties.

Once again, here are facts, although I realise that you prefer politicised puffery:

Human Rights Watch estimated at least 699 Afghan civilians were killed by various insurgent forces in 2006 and at least 230 Afghan civilians were killed by US, NATO or ANA attacks: 116 by airstrikes and 114 by ground fire.

Their estimates for 2007 were: at least 950 Afghan civilians killed by various insurgent forces and 434 Afghan civilians were killed by US or NATO/ANA attacks: 321 by airstrikes and 113 by ground fire. Another 57 civilians were killed in crossfire, and 192 died under unclear circumstances.

For the first seven months of this year, Human Rights Watch estimated at least 367 Afghan civilians were killed by various insurgent forces and at least 173 Afghan civilians by US or NATO/ANA attacks: 119 by airstrikes and 54 by ground fire.

So, in summary, your friends, the Taliban and other insurgents are responsible for the deaths of over 2,000 civilians in the past three years. The US and NATO have been responsible for 837. Now tell me again who is responsible for killing too many Afghan citizens.
Taliban wins the tally.

From the link that lancer1 never bothered to include. You're generally quite hot on that.

There are no official figures of civilian deaths caused by the invasion, so it is necessary to aggregate individual reports.
HRW is estimating . How often do you think HRW gets into the Hindu Kush ?

At least 23 more to go then, for this week's even score.

Keeping "score" with dead bodies?

Sick, perverse and disgusting.

It's also something you previously denied doing. Oh, well, I guess we can put to bed your untruthful denials on that score, eh?

It's something I haven't done previously, genius, but this situation warrants it. Let's call it a new system of illustrating North American terrorism versus Afghan civilians.

Forget trying to spread some of your hypocrisy in my direction, Larson. I'm clean, you're the champ.

Bullshit - it's something you've done many times.

And it's sick, depraved, and disgusting.

So no surprise you're still doing it.
