Most of these countries have their very own reasons to sanction Iran. The region descending into a new conflict contravenes european interests at least as much as it does american ones, and some countries like France, Austria and Germany still have open bills with the iranian leadership for planning and supporting acts of terrorism in their countries. Like for example the murder of former iranian prime minister Bachtiar in France or the "Mykonos" bombing in Berlin.( when arrest warrants for several iranian leaders were issued)
Saudi Arabia for example sees an emerging iranian regional power with possible nuclear weapons as a threat and has problems with its own Shiite minority and Pakistan doesn´t want to be surrounded by two nuclear powers.
And i am not aware that any of the countries concerned has pledged military support. Some ( like Germany) have on the contrary ruled it out.

You are correct. With the wide variety of nations listed, I attempted to be as general as possible (hence my using the words "majority" and "a number") because they all have varied policies when it comes to Iran. I actually started going through and listing each country's policies, but realized it wasn't really worth the effort.

The point being, foXz is quite wrong when he says that all those countries would tell the US to "fuck off" if the we were to take action against Iran. I'm sure each one would at the very least indirectly support us (much like how we got indirect covert support from countries who didn't officially partake in the Iraq war).

It's all kind of silly, though, since the US will not be taking any sort of military action against Iran any time soon. If I recall correctly, we even told Israel we wouldn't allow them to take military action themselves.

So your gunna tell me that these countries would side with Iran or USA? Exactly, your just a leftist who wants America to be destroyed unless we have universal healthcare and that liberal bullshit. Russia and USA have been holding peace talks over the past few days, both presidents pledged to display peace towards one another, dont listen to Putin, he hates America, hes not the head politcal guy over there anyways. Just listen to what the actual president has to say. Not Putin.

What freaks me out is the proliferation amongst the region that will in the end occur. If several shia and sunni nations with factions among them, whom hate each others guts almost as much as they hate the jews, having a bomb doesn’t give you pause, remember that they have a proclivity to argue things with suicidal fervor. Have a nice day.

AAAAA....AAAAA....the inhuman muslims will kill us all. We must invade, we must invade...AAAAAA.....

Fer Crissakes, Bush and the Republicans are GONE. Even if Ahmadinejad were to strap their bomb to his back and jump out of the only Piper Cub left in the Iranian AF over Tel Aviv it still wouldn't mean McCain in the White House. It's OVER guys, there's just no need for this war anymore.
