They were a very paranoid group of people and rightfully so. Look at what they had fled from in Germany and Russia. I'm not trying to justify everything Israel has done, but it's very easy to cast stones when you live in comfort.

Both sides have blood on their hands.
Nothing justifies what the IDF has done. They are killing civilians at a 7 to 1 ratio while retaining a vast military advantage. This doesn't include indirect actions which is a far better killing machine than direct action.

What the IDF is support is ethnic cleansing of areas of the west bank under the guise of being attacked. Israel is guilty of war crimes being an aggressor in a war.

I am not giving Hamas a free ride(who are pricks as well) either but Israel can't justify their actions.. Israel has bigger guns so they cause more damage and are the aggressor.

Hiroshima Before the Bombing

Every military base has a large city "chock full of civilians". The Allied powers simply responded in kind when Germany-Japan turned it's attacks towards civilians in doing the same in return.

And look at the history of air attacks. There are numerous attacks that killed more then those 2 did.

And it is hard to have any sympathy, after events like Nanking.

Of course we could have not bombed them, and instead launched Operations Olympic and Coronet. Then we would have had 4-8 million dead, instead of less then 200,000.

Regardless of Hiroshima having some military targets, it was not necessary to use a nuclear device, that would have to target civilians more than the military targets.
There was no real reason for the atomic bombs to actually be used at all, much less using them on an evacuated demonstration target instead.

Nanking can't be used as a justification, because that was in 1937, and was not even enough cause for us to send arms to China, much less troops.
