Six British soildiers killed by Afgan policeman

Policeman who killed British troops 'is back with Taliban' | World news | guardian.co.uk

Absoloutly tragic, they'd just got back from patrol, taken off there kit and disarmed before they got savegly gunned down from behind. Looks like about 12 injured all in all (with some Afgan police as well) by someone who was supposed to be there ally.

Its times like this that I do wonder about this war, I've supported it through but with Karzi attempting undermine democracy with every move and our inability to make the police and army loyal to any decent standard I do wonder if victory is possible; and how many young men are going to die before this is over.

Any soloutions to stopping the Taliban from infiltrating like this guys?

Oh, and;

when I originally heard of this, I was reminded of Robert Duvall’s character and scene where he sees the woman throw the grenade into the dust off helicopter in Apocalypse Now, "fucking savages".... I am very sorry for those blokes.....

I know a guy that served in Iraq in the army, worked a lot with the Iraqi National Police, didn't trust them at all due to crap like this.

Frankly there's fuck all you can do against this type of cowardly attack. Possibly a tactical masterstroke by the Taliban, as it drives a big wedge in between ISAF and the Afghanis. RIP
