That's seriously fucked up right there.
If we do that crap, we're no better then the scumbags who try to blow up airliners. It's bad enough that we've let the jihadists have a huge victory by abandoning some of our core principles, but what you've posted here is just beyond the pale.
Matt

No man is an island...
Each man's death diminishes me,
Because I am involved in Mankind.
And therefore, never send to know
For whom the bell tolls;
It tolls for thee.
—John Donne

Once they're proven to be terrorists, they don't need to lawyer up. Before that, you don't know that they are terrorists, do you?No you don't. If you're talking about the "BOOOOM" terrorist, then the only thing you would be able to do to him is blow him up without getting any info from him.
Shoot his knee cap off then duct tape it back on to support him for the next torture technique.
Take a blow torch and carve out one of his eyes, wipe his arse with it, then put it back in its socket.
Tie him up in death valley with only his privates hanging out after they are dipped in sun tan oil. I'd agree to a water drip system to keep him alive while his nuts get 3rd degree sun burns.
Take the blow torch and cut the crispy nuts off ant tell him that is his meal tonight.
ETC!
Eventually we get valuable intel from him. When you try murder hundreds of innocent people you shouldn't have rights.
And no, there is no guarantee of getting valuable info from him, particularly if he was working alone.
how does that article change anything?
the agents he spoke to ( for ,50 thats fifty minutes, until read his rights on Christmas) where not part of the High-Value Detainee Interrogation Unit or HIG the grp obama promised to create that is a specialized team TRAINED for/with ME specialties, he was 'interrogated' by loca fbi agents, basically no one special. 50 minutes.
as to what hes been promised after the fact, i.e. after having been given a lawyer and time had passed. Cooperation now, does not mitigate the original sin, intel, actionable intel has a shelf life, I'd say dec, 25 till feb 2 may have soured the milk.
If this is how we plan on handling these folks god help us, if they want to ultimately treat him like a criminal, I don't get it but thats my shit, BUT he/whomever in the future should be taken and interrogated for a few days before being handed over to 'criminal' authorities.
weeks old 'valuable' intel?...whats ‘valuable’? He plea bargained so as to give us 'valuable' intel on how he was trained and by whom, what could have been used and wasn't we will never know, you really think this all makes sense?
Are you of the opinion that hence forth we should treat any and all/this way, next time we don't speak to him them at all, we immediately make them hands off and get bupkas until their lawyer has named his price...... like a bank robber, the feds come in, they now know they can clam up, and will, they take their lessons well, and put it on their training book.
Not for m., but hey.....we'll need a another tragedy to wake up again, thats for sure.
Its interesting that the uk and spain for instance allow you to hold without representation for 72 hours....I guess they can just wait it out there too. I guess we have set the new bar at 50 minutes. We'll always get lucky I guess....

Even is he was ignorantly given a lawyer and his mommy and daddy shamed him into talking...
They should torture him to death with blowtorches anyways and post it on the internet. Just to send a message.
