It just happened to be identical save for architectural details over the two gates?

What about the two pictures without the palm tree but with plenty of lamp posts, I gave a link to earlier?

Anyway, I am not on a mission to convince you of anything; if you choose not to see the obvious -- it's up to you, continue believing in integrity of official media.

I have no idea because i have never been to Tripoli.

Btw, according to imagery on Google maps, there are no palm trees at this point in the square.

Listen, alma, so far the only report of rebels not having taken the square is from your "source" that is "in the know", but which you can't cite. So far, the evidence doesn't vsupport such a.claim.

I have no doubt that Obama will attempt to take credit. He has been leading from the rear since day one.

Before your cheer leading gets ahead of you, Obama had to be dragged into this one. In fact even Canada, which has no in flight refueling capabilities and no aircraft carriers had CF-18s in the air before the US. If you check your facts, the US was dragged in by France who, dependent on Libyan oil, needed authenticity.

So far, the Syrians have been laughing at Obama. What are suggesting, that Obama will start bombing Syria?

I had a look at the architecture, quite in detail. And I could see the details from the other pictures, even if they were not very well visible. But guess what, you references were brightest day pictures while these were night video captures. You don't have to be a video artist to know how much difference that can make. Just look at your different reference pictures. You see details in some that are barely visible in others even at day.

Also, if you look at the news report you could see constructions and film-set lights. Tripoli (real Tripoli) that night had no electricity!
Zeina Khodr reports live from Tripoli - YouTube

That repord was broadcast on the 21.08. But the Green Square was still not taken by "rebels" today. Where from was she reporting then?
I am not at the Green Square or in Tripoli, nor are you. So I can't make a qualified response on this. But there are various possibilities. If Quatar had built a copy of the green square why would they lighten it up when they surely knew that Tripoli had no electricity (in case your claim is true at all). That simply makes no sense. Moreover, the video was in open air. If such a set exists, it should be easy to find.

    Re: Libya update

That's the message posted on a net on the 17-th, BEFORE an attack on Tripoli:

"According to reports from reliable sources, the fake scenery of Tripoli is erected in Qatar, in particular Bab al-Aziz and Green Square. Losing, coalition is preparing a grand spectacle. It prepares to destroy the remaining radio and television transmitters in Libya and block Libyan TV on the Internet to suppress truthful information. At the same time, the U.S. sends more drones.

Those who control the global media and the NATO bloc, are apparently convinced that they were able to deceive everyone and impose their vision of the war in Libya. That is why they believe that the play they will play in the desert of Qatar, with layouts of Tripoli, will be gotten away with. They will lie to the world, that there is an uprising in Tripoli, that the rebels demand from NATO to send peacemaker troops to destroy the remnants of the troops loyal to Gaddafi himself and his family. And at the same time, NATO will bomb Tripoli and all the cities of Libya, to kill as many as possible in order to destroy the most of the civilian infrastructure and cause a humanitarian catastrophe.

If Gaddafi will go out to make a statement and reassure people, a bombing will destroy all who came to the square."

    Re: Libya update

And what reliable source is this (allegedly)?

What I am asking is - are you the one inventing this rubbish, or are you simply repeating where someone else has invented this rubbish?

The fact that you cannot / will not post a source is telling.

    Re: Libya update

So some random guy wrote some random things on the internet. What is this going to prove? Are there any evidences for such detailed staged Green Square sceneries in Quatar? After all they would be almost impossible to hide, given the size and that they are open air.

    Re: Libya update

Here is same message published in a blog on the 19-th.

    BEFORE the events. http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&sou...PmrkNC_4-i8Wkw

Anyway, on the 21-st we are shown this video supposedly from Tripoli with rebels in the very heart of it and masses celebrating on the strets the victory over a bad, bad Gaddafi.
    http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&sou...9DBr8BlSgzEEAA

And today it transpires that Tripoli is still standing and the rebels are not in the Green Square!

    Mistery...

Meanwhile, people of Tripoli are preparring for another joint French/British and Al-Q attack on their city...
