How many times a day do you check?

Well, it's a pretty good example of that type of show - and at least the subject is a real one.

You're not gonna vote? (I know you object to the awards in the first place).

22 times at the start of every hour that involves an odd number. This gives me plenty of time to flip the light switch 88 times and make sure all the carpet fibers are in the same direction. Why do you ask? Why do you ask? Why do you ask? Why do you ask? Why do you ask?

Re: Alternative Award Nominations

Well next year we'll probably have the "forum ho" award, and maybe simplify the Steveox award so folks can actually understand it, and maybe call it the "forum dumbass" award.

"Faggot beaner" would probably offend the actual gay members of the forum (like Noahath) to be associated with the scum that may be nominated. That wouldn't be fair on them.

Now Kirstie Alley will act out her physical and emotional and mental collapse as she has an on-screen tantrum, falls out of love with her inner child (again), becomes cosmically unaligned, eats 247 Snickers bars, 8 big macs and a coffee milk shake and then goes into shock - and we get to watch every gruesome minute LIVE!

How low can cable go? Pitiful stuff.
Reason as to why I not watch much TV...
Not when they show worthless crap like that...and how many Ghost Hunter shows do we need for crying out loud?

Thank God for Books, DVD's and the internet...

Absolutely.

And speaking of DVDs - the dearth of decent television has made much more diligent in looking for good ones.

I just found Ridley Scott's The Duellists. It is an excellent, little known period film set in the Napoloeonic era. It is a historical epic that received very little attention.

Well worth seeing.

It's bad enough that there is little but garbage on television. But the part that burns my ass is that we have been conned into paying for what was previously free. I can't convince my family that 300 channels of mostly garbage is really not better than 5 channels of mostly garbage. I feel like I'm paying someone to treat me badly. The least Time Warner should do is wear thigh length stiletto heels and carry a whip.
