Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

Okay, so I lurked on this board for a while, and then the last couple days made some posts. I have a small manufacturing company, which does some business overseas, but most in the US. The wife works in real estate title, and even now, with whatever the housing crisis is, she is busy as hell with lots of re-fi closings on owner-occupied houses. I enjoy extreme fishing, like shark fishing in the Gulf of Mexico from a 12 foot kayak, and am just waiting for the day to come where I can have my own piece of the Caribbean, probably when the daughter ships off to college in 6 years.

I strive to support my family by growing my business, and taking care of the responsibilities I have burdened myself with.

Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

Hello, I'm Bourne. I picked that name because I'm a big fan of the Ludlum novels. I'm a Republican but over the past 8 years I became so digusted with the Bush administration that in this last election I crossed party lines and voted Democrat.

I'm a Physician Assistant in NE Wiscosnin and my hobbies include raising English Springer Spaniels, fishing, hunting and cooking.

Thanks for welcoming me to your forum and I look forward to some intelligent, spirited but civil debate.

Are you in favor of abolishing Social Security, or, are you another Republican Socialist?

Excellent question Mick. Social Security is destined to fail soon. Instead I favor individual directed investment in a retirement plan.

Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

Hello there.

Just found this forum via a google search for an online politics forum, and found it to be rather interesting.

Hmesa is my username ("Mesa" or "750" are acceptable nicknames). As for my political views, I am neutral (Neither Democrat or Republican, neither liberal or conservative). I listen to both sides, and see where each comes from, and then offer my unbiased responses partially based on research, and partially based on personal experience, with effort to keep bias out of my responses.

That's about it.

Hi there! I'm a Mexican citizen, studied chemical engineering and I used to travel to the U. S. I live in Mexico City, and right now I'm retired, after being Chemistry teacher for a long time in a public high school.

Regards.

Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

Hi.
I am Joe. Some people here may know me, I recognize a few names. I was a moderator at politics now and political fever.
Well both of them have closed and I am looking for a new forum to settle in at. I will be poking around here and a few other places to see what fits.

Thanks
