Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

Howdy. My name's Matt and I'm a 19 year old college student in California. At present time, my major is undeclared. This is due mainly to my overabundance of interests which include film, philosophy, theology, comic books, literature and, naturally, politics. Assuming for years that what I was had no name, I recently discovered secular humanism and put that assumption to bed. My beliefs on social issues, such as the war on drugs, abortion, and prostitution are extremely libertarian. When it comes to economic issues however, I'm not quite as ardent. I happen to like the FDA safeguarding my food and preventing the sale of snake oil. When it comes to the issues most of the time I find myself coming down on the side of the Democrats, yet strangely most of my favorite politicians are Republicans like John McCain and Rudy Giullianni.

I look forward to putting forth my half-thought out opinions and being teared to shreds by you guys.

Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

Hi, my name is JPSartre12....and I'm a politics junkie. I've tried the usual 12 step programs, but never found them to be satisfying. I got my early fixes on political discussion back in the early days of AOL as a "Charter Member" slugging it out with liberals in the "Newsroom" (back when there was only ONE Newsroom and it only held 20-30 participants). From there, I graduated to various other forums, settling on various non-political groups which occasionally talked politics until I wore out my welcome (such as in Ford Truck Enthusiasts). Then I found 4forums and have been feeding my addiction ever since. Looking for a new high, I decided I might as well try this one as well.
So, having completed the first step "admitting my addiction"; what's next?

I also forgot to mention two 10 minute breaks and a 30 minute lunch and porta johns on site. I will also personally drive by the job site a couple times a day in my air conditioned truck to check up on them.

Starting pay, $8.50/hr.
Pay half of med ins.
Christmas, Thanksgiven, and July 4th paid holidays.
One week vacation after 2nd year.
did you know bush had cut funding for fire-men?...a result of
his tax cut initiative...fire-men aren't particularly fond of Bush.

$8.50/hr?!...what a joke!

my last pay rate was $24k/yr base + BONUS + benefits + paid
vacations + 401K as an account executive pay was more like
$50K/yr including Bonus, but there were A.E.'s that make
$75K to $100K after bonus.

did you read my proposal to update the fire-men program?

i also wrote the new FBI guidelines, the update was crucial
because alot of field agents were spying on civilians without
warrants or bountys on their heads and that is a waste of
tax money. it is also against the law to work people like slaves,
it's against federal minimum wage laws, which have applied
since after the Civil War. in addition, black-mailing world
leaders with malicious rumors is extorsion and racketeering,
which is organized crime. the significance of the social security
number check and the insignificance of the credit check
especially for identity theft victims. for instance 9/11 was
commited by identity thefters (as zaccharias moussaui had
shown, it was blacks pretending to be arabs...this was further
supported by the bust of john muhammed the baltimore
sniper another black militant pretending to be arab, but the
greatest evidence was when half of the alleged 9/11 hi-jackers
turned out to be still alive, they had their passports stolen)
these were all crucial updates for the FBI, which ironically were
used under Freeh, but abused under Mueller. the reason being
was because Bush had been using Feds for alterior motives
like setting up prominent democrats with malicious rumors to
give the GOP more power.

$8.50/hr is what I start people out on, which is pretty good since 2 of the last 3 I hired for laborers/helpers I are High School drop outs. But, they are not conspiracy theorists. Also the cost of living difference of Calif. and Tenn. are huge. You can still buy a pack of Marlboros for $2.65. A 6 pack of Bud for $5.79. A pint of Jim Beam for $6.00. I thought since you posted your impressive resume I would offer you a job. Of course I make considerably better that $24K.

To unskilled labor??? Surly you jest. Maybe in NH but not in TN.
But I did hire a lead man for wages comparable to mine. Because he was valuble because of his experience and took a major work load off me. That's worth something now.

I wasn't aware that it was the President's responsibility to set ANYBODY's pay scales.

Maybe if you chose a better major in college, you'd be making more now.

No, the fine print is a little too busy for my tired old eyes.
