Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

Hello,

I am excited to join a conservative forum. I am 17. My name is Eric Morris. I am a self professed Christian-Conservative. I love politics and I have a deep seeded love for this nation but above all God, my Lord and Savior, comes before anything.

I know, from a historic stand point, our nation was founded on Biblical principles and I wish for those to remain in tact. It drives me crazy when Christians ask why they should even be interested in politics. When our nation was first built, it was built on Christian morality, so the obvious choice for our economy was a free market (capitalism), but capitalism must rely on people of morality, morality in turn relies on a people of godliness, if those people are silent, if they sit back, the system collapses. I would make the argument that our latest “economic crisis,” is a crisis of morality, because the Church has been passive in American culture. Obama cannot fix this crisis, congress cannot, and china cannot. The only thing that can save this nation is for the church to bow on her knees, before a holy and awesome God, and say in one voice, “God show grace to our nation. Save us!” If we do not, America is in a dire situation. Christ alone is the author of freedom, without him, without his guiding hand, our nation will cease being free, socialism will start to creep in, which will be followed by communism, destroying the very thing we hold so dear--freedom.

I know what you are asking, “Why all the doom and gloom?” It is for one reason-the Christians need to wake up; we need to fight for what God has blessed us with. We know truth yet they fear the proclamation of that truth. You can look at so many issues across the spectrum that Christians should be on the forefront of, but we aren’t. We sit there and do nothing; we let the country wither and die. I will bring up one issue, which is abortion, it is a vile act, and it is murder without consequence. Christians sit back every day and let thousands die, without a tear being shed. The facts are on our side, we know what abortion is, but the Church does nothing. Yes it is easier to sit back; it is easier to let women have this choice of convenience. It is probably one of the hardest debates Christians will face, because of the emotion on both sides, but I don’t remember God saying “doing the right thing would be easy.”One day every one of us will answer for this crime against humanity. All I ask is, “Where will you stand?” Politics matter and Christians should care, because of what is at stake. It is a matter of life or death, it is a matter of liberty or tyranny, and it is a matter of salvation or eternal damnation.

In Christ,
Eric Morris

Welcome to the forum, Eric. Do you still have problems. There are certain restrictions for new members. But normally you should be able to change your sig etc. and to pm a mod.

Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

Hi, I'm 18 years old, from the United Kingdom. I am currently studying science and politics at college. I work in a supermarket.

I believe in taking almost all power away from central government and giving it to local people. I believe that direct democracy is the only type of democracy with enough credibility, although I think we do need representatives to explain some of the more complicated issues to us. I think First Past The Post is the most undemocratic electoral system in Europe and some sort of Proportional Representation is the best way to go.
Democracy is the most important thing a political system can have.

I am not an economist by any stretch of the imagination but I would say that I am a believer in social democracy Social democracy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia .

I'm an atheist and I dont like religion very much.

I am a Euro-sceptic and want the UK to leave the EU.

I voted UKIP during the last EU Election and Labour at the last Local Election.

Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

I hated you after the first line but those last couple sentences would have saved your rep had you not voted Labor in the last local election. (I believe you were the only person in the entire country who might have done so given they lost 435 seats or whatever it was! )

You hated me for being 18, studying at college and working in a supermarket?

At the time I voted I still held quite strong sympathies with Labour but given the chance to vote again I probably would vote UKIP or some other smaller party.
I dont know who I'm going to vote for at the next General Election but it wont be Conservative or Labour.

What do you have against Labour by the way?

Absolutely, but that was also given your "anarchist" handle and what you're majoring, combined with your age makes for a very left leaning future...

Alright, let's see if you can redeem yourself, what supermarket.

(You fail if you say Asda (Wal-mart) or Morrisons (Safeway) haha).

Good man, there's some hope for you. I absolutely agree with your stance on the EU, so the UKIP are the best option. Glad you lost your sympathies for Labor.

Excellent, if i vote i'll probably vote UKIP/BNP. (The latter seems to anger a lot of white apologists).

Absolutely everything, same with the Torries. Need actual conservatives...neither of them are far enough to the right for me. I liked Blair, and sadly his policies were better than Major's or what Cameron's will be. Both men are cowards and even Boris won't be enough. That being said, even Nick Griffin is not conservative enough for me.

Well, anarchism is basically just libertarianism. Some people would argue that it doesnt have to be left leaning. But, I do lean to the left. Sorry

Well, I dont like the BNP. they are a racist party. I just dont see why people who vote BNP dont vote UKIP instead. The BNP arent radical capitalists like UKIP though.

Nick Griffin and the BNP have socialist sympathies, I'm pretty sure.

Hmmm, don't worry you're young. Some people start out to the left and grow wiser as the get older...

Like we have a guy called Wharf here who is a left leaning Socialist Brit, and he's getting more in line to the center, so he's beginning to see the light...

Not so bad. Waitrose would have been a win (or JL) and Tesco and Sainsburys aren't so bad either, in spite of the Lord in charge donating to Labor.

Yeah true, which is why i am torn between the two. It takes a lot for a colored person like myself to vote BNP (i haven't done so yet) so that must show to the extent i dispize the big 2. Win for the conversation that we haven't mentionned the Lib Dems.

Yeah which is the part i don't like, plus their foreign policy is just isolationist belligerism imo. Not to mention the anti-jew/denial of holocaust nonsense too.

You're not so bad, but you could with finding God...

Strangely, the more and more i see what is going on in the UK, the more i end up feeling like i should more in defense of civil liberties. (I must be sick!)

What they have done over the last 10 years would make even Mussolini's ideals of facism look silly. George Orwell got the wrong year for his book, missed by 13. It should have been called "1997".

I actually started out in the centre on ecnomic issues and was quite a massive authoritarian on social issues. I've been drifting to the left and libertarianism for about 2 years now

What exactly are the reasons to vote BNP? Explain.
Also, you're American so how can you vote in the next UK General Election? Do you live in the UK too or something?

Liberal Bendoverocrats is what I call them.
I can't bring myself to vote for a party that is currently in the Commons because of the Expenses Scandal.

There is also a video of Nick Griffin, in a meeting with 'American Friends of the BNP' or something, where he talks about influencing the British public through the BBC if the BNP becomes government.
