Well, it's not too bad I confess , even if sometimes it can be awfully rainy (the ocean is only 50 km west)

Hello Chiocciola

you are German and Italian, are you? That's very cool I think! I really love the Italian language, and the Bavarian language too, of course.

Bye, Frieda

And anyway, welcome Frieda. We already have several Germans on this board.

Since some years I'm looking for work but its very difficult here. I still don't want to work in the afternoons as the children come home from school at noon and if there is nobody at home they would sit and watch TV all the time.

Since about 2001 I'm very amazed by the new American way to act in the world ( / ) and since long I really wanted to speak with some American people how they feel about their government. I really would like to understand a little bit more of America and American people.

Of course, if someone is interested I would like to explain how I think. As far as I have already seen in this forum there are American people thinking just the same way.

I would be very pleased, too, to learn something about our neighbours (France) here and other interesting people and countries.

Have a nice day!

Welcome to the board, Frieda! Our friends from across the pond are always welcome and we're happy to have you.

Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

I love this site! My son, Benjamin, is a moderator. I feel like I know many of you already. I have read many of your posts and they are quite interesting. I am a teacher, and have been teaching for 20 years. I currently teach middle school Language Arts. I am also a Girl Scout leader and have a daughter that is almost 10. Both of my children were homeschooled, and as an educator, I feel this is the finest education we can give our children. I'm so glad Ms. M is okay! We definitely did a lot of praying over here on her behalf! I have about 20 new students from the New Orleans area, and they're all delightful and fun. I'm just glad I can do my part to help. I'm looking forward to some great intellectual interaction!

There’s getting to be a lot of mothers around here…I like it.

I remember Ben saying some time ago that you might join, so when the other mother joined I contemplated enquiring about you but decided not to. I believe laziness was a factor.

Welcome and enjoy. Oh, Ben is generally well behaved and courteous - as all members are - my complements on raising him.

Hi Daryl-

Thanks for the welcome. Yep, it was because of laziness...Ben's laziness! I didn't know the logistics of the board. But, I cornered him today and said enough is enough! Ben is a really good kid. Thanks for the compliment, and thanks for the welcome!

I’m sorry, I meant laziness was a factor in me making my decision not to enquire. Possibly.
