Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

I am a religious right conservative new here. I care about freedom of speech for all faiths. Liberals have been spreading a lot of misconceptions about us, because we are the biggest threat to their power schemes.

I like to discuss the role of faith in politics and society, the rights of religious people in schools and at work, and taxation of churches. I also like to discuss homosexuality and Ex-Gay therapy, which liberals pretend doesn't exist. I don't care much about ID or evolution except to promote free speech for all sides.

Any takers? Or do we avoid controversy here? LOL!

Avoid controversy?! We are drawn to it like a moth to a flame.

Welcome to Dante's Inferno.

Hey everybody! I'm a high school student from suburban Detroit, MI. I'm ultra-left socially. Economically, I'm pretty centrist, though i lean closer to limited democratic socialism than to laissez-faire capitalism.

Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

My name is Kevin and I'm from Pittsburgh, Pa. I just got back from NYC and a visit to the Twin Towers site. It is so much bigger and deeper than I had ever thought. It was an overwhelming sight.

On a side note, Does anybody else find the avatar byte limit on this site ridiculously low? Damn.

Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

I'm a 17 year old student in Hong Kong. Next year I'll be either going to Oxford or Durham for History depending on my exam results.

I'm out to set the quote "At age 20 you're a liberal because you have a heart; at age 40 you're a conservative because you have a brain," wrong and be a brainy liberal.

I fully support legalization of prostitution, drugs, and same-sex marriage, as well as peaceful uranium enrichment for all countries. Despite having greatgrandparents killed during the Communist regime, I'm a bit of a socialist and believe in fair trade versus free trade.

I think democracy is overrated, and that regime change is never a good idea- revolution should spring from below.

Perhaps most damningly, I also believe in the ideals of the UN- thought the structure really needs some cleaning up.

I'm a newbie on the forum- and I tend to get aggressive- so I'll apologize in advance to anyone I may offend.

Cheers!

What are the benefits to becoming a ChiCom? Do you get to drive tanks over protestors in Tienneman Square? Put fellow Chinese people in jail for saying something against the Party? Force millions off their farms so you can flood their villages to build hydroelectric power plants? Sounds like a ball. Where do I sign?
