Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

I'm Dan from the burbs of Philly. I love politics and love a good debate. I get bored pretty quickly with partisan stuff though. I'm pretty liberal but am an Independent for two reasons. One, the Dems really made me angry with the vote to allow Bush to go to war. I mean really...if I knew he was full of shit about diplomacy first, they certainly did.

And second, no one should be able to assume what your intentions are as a voter before you tell them. I want the Dems to convince me they're right, not assume they've got me because I'm a liberal or have a Democratic affiliation.

Anyway, hello to everyone and I look forward to robust discussions.

Welcome Dan. For a second there, I had a little flash of dyslexia or something, and I thought you were looking forward to robot discussions. I thought "cool, we never talk about robots around here!". But alas, you just want to talk about politics. That'll work too.

Again, welcome.

What?! You don't just follow the DNC playbook as written? And you dare call yourself a liberal? Liberals aren't allowed to think. If they really wanted your opinion, they'd give it to you.

Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

Hi everybody. I've been lurking here a while and decided to join.

I'm basically conservative...in most things. I'll keep you guessing for a while on the liberal issues I ascribe to. They aren't many, so simmer down.

Some of my friends may show up here in a day or two. We're like minded. We've been wondering the wilderness since our "forum home" was hacked a few weeks ago.

I look forward to discussing lots of issues with you all. Thanks for the forum.

Thanks for the welcome, Traveler. I can handle radical liberals. I'd had a lot of practice.

Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

Hello everyone, I am new here and came from the same forum Jazzy spoke of. In fact, Jazzy invited me here.
I am conservative but do keep an open mind on issues and try to think things through.
I Love my country but do not agree with all of it’s on-goings, but I guess you’ll learn that from my post.

Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

Is this opposed to AmateurUSA?

Welcome. I'm not conservative. At all. I'm a bleeding heart-if-it-feels-good-and-it-doesn't-hurt-anybody-else-do-it kind of liberal.

But I'm a friendly bloke most of the time, even to y'all fascists.

Thanks.
I believe all people can get along despite ones views, the world would be very very boring if we all had the same opinions.
I believe that is also what makes the United States so great, we are not bound by one sided views.

Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

Imperator...ghosting the web looking for a forum where there's a mix of all sides.....notice I said "all" not both.....I too get bored with partisan debate...we can sit in the barnyard like hens and roosters and cackle at each other all day noddding our heads...doesn't do a thing for me...I hope to find some intelligent left right center debate....
