Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

Hey there guys!

I'm starting to get sick of discussion being ruined over at LNF, so I'm in the process of finding a new home, so I'll be an occasional poster until I get in the groove of things.

On fiscal issues I'm pretty moderate, and on social issues I'm relatively liberal. At this point I'm support Ron Paul, but if he fails to make it to the primaries I'll support Barack Obama.

I'm double majoring in political science and economics at Ball State University in Indiana, and I try to base my views on my Christian faith. Hopefully I'll find a good community here

I like you already. You'll probably find you have a lot in common with the posters who go by the monikers of Non Sequitor and Dilettante.

Welcome!

I hope in some way we can all step up to our responsibilities as global citizens and not passively leave it to corporate sponsored governments.

Good luck.
I've got an answer for you.....but this isn't the place for it, so "welcome all newbies"

Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

Hello all.

I'm new to the forum but have been around forums before. I believe in freedom and would like to see 469 new faces in Congress in 19 months.

I like discussing politics and try my best to understand why people think they way they do. Makes for better exchange of ideas. Anybody can shout down another person. But what's the fun in not learning something new because your mind is closed?

Hello and welcome to USPOL. I hope you find the place comfortable and to your liking. I'm Crystal, one of the admins here. Let me know if you need anything or have questions. Find a thread you like and jump on in. I would say the water is fine, but the truth is there are some things out there that may bite and other things that bite only when asked. Have fun and learn a thing or two.

Happy Posting

Hey. I'm new. I believe in increasing the education of children, giving power to the states, and in stopping the government from limiting our rights by making laws that are clearly intervening in the parent's lives.

Let me guess. You're not a teacher union fan, either?
Welcome. We'll get along swimmingly.

Newbe's not welcome? I am new only here. 86 years in America. Remember well the great depression. I have formed my ideas of life in our democracy and would like to offer suggestions to which I beleive our system is heading. And hear answers to my thoughts. My life style has educated me very well in the good and bad in this system we all admire so well. Iwould like to test my opinions.

Though I've already resignated because history shows that this world will never change, I enjoy discussing the events and thoughts of our time with others, especially those who are not of my opinion.

Though I know that it is lead by corruption, I think the EU is the best solution for Europes future problems. It will certainly take at least 50 years to turn it into a real nation, but the process is on its way ... slow like a snail. I'm anti-nationalist and like to make a difference between the past and the present, that's why all those WWII and cold war arguments suck soo dearly to me
I understand where you are coming from. I am an 86f year old American whom, over the years, have formed ideas of our system and it's fallacy's. I enjoy group discussions. does this board consist of that ability? Very new here. Pax

Nah, you're certainly welcome. My post was an (apparently rather poorly received) attempt at humor on my part. But I'm odd so that's to be expected. Group hug?
