Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

I am new to the forum here but am very active amongst certain blog's that read from the right, center and left in re. to political, economic, foreign & domestic policies and trade topics.

Stumbled upon this forum and found it to have quite a lot of information on varied topics of which it's always great to see people taking an interest in the country and world around us.

Hope I can help contribute to the forum here, and I just thought I would add to the proverbial forum introduction.

Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

Hey, I'm new. My name is Justin; I'm a seventeen year-old from Winder, Georgia. I'm highly interested in politics. I intend on majoring in political science, with a possible second major in either international relations or economics. After university, I'd like to go to law school.

Though I disagree with labels when it comes to political ideologies, I suppose one could descibe my beliefs as having a bit of a tilt to the left, especially on social issues.

Aside from government and the like, I also have interest in music, science, and travel.

Well, I am an American, Xth Generation Scot on my Mother's side, (I gotten into our ancestry on her side through 1752, but thus far is is completely Scot and on my Father's side his mother was French/American but past that thus far looks to be Scot. They helped make it easier for me to follow my ancestry by keeping MANY Newspapers from Inverness dating back to 1803.

Maternal Ancestors are from the areas around and north of Inverness. ALL of them. Immigrated to South Carolina.

Started in the genealogy about 3 years ago...

If it's not Scottish it's CRAP!

A hookah smoking caterpiller gave me a call...

Besides having an irrational passion for Jefferson Airplane, Alice in Wonderland and hookah smoking caterpillers, I have a rather eclectic interest in all matters of politics, religion, sexuality, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, history, media studies and the judicial system - preferably in discussions combining all of the above.

Welcome... sounds like you'll be participating in (or perhaps creating) some interesting discussions. For my part, I like pills that make me large or small, but I'm not so hot on the ones from my mother.

Logic and proportion may not be evident here but you're feeding your head. That's what matters.

Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

Welcome.
Being an old fart from the 60's and 70's, I was an Airplane fan, too...along with Pink Floyd, Led Zepelin and a hundred other bands. Now that I'm 50, I've mellowed a bit. I listen to Linkin Park, Metallica, Blink 182, Muse, etc.,

Re: The Introduce Yourself thread!

Hello,

Wow, there are a lot of posts on this thread. And there are some very interesting people here. Anyway, I am not much of a writer but here goes...

I work in computers by trade and by volition. I am interested in politics but do not have the depth of knowledge that many here have. So, I hope to learn some things and share my opinions.

Also, I hope to some day "get back into shape." :-)

Thanks

WELCOME! I've learned more here than I ever thought possible and have made some awesome friends along the way I'm glad you joined and I hope you can learn from the folks here as well. Jump on in, the water is fine!

You know, I don't think I would be able to find my post within this thread. I'm sure it needs some editing
