My name is Kyle too, so hey Kyle down under. Just joined this morning after catching a bit on the news about an inmate being released from Gitmo only to return to Iraq to fight and ultimately blow himself up as well as a others. I had a 10 month tour in Iraq so I know just how deceptive the enemy is. Just like any other criminal (and they are simply criminals, not soldiers by any stretch of the word) in the world they can look you in the eye and lie.

That's my intro; now I'll go browse through the other discussions.

Hello everyone - I've been lurking around here reading threads for a while now. I've really enjoyed reading the back-and-forth on some issues as it's helped me understand more about the background behind what may seem on the surface like partisan or ideological opinions.

About me: I'm 30, just married last year. Born in Indiana, raised in Massachusetts. BA in Psychology and Sociology (UMass Amherst), soon graduating MBA (Boston College) and finishing MPA this year (Suffolk University). Both parents were democrats and one Unitarian, but I'm more moderate and not religious. Registered independent, and still lean democrat a bit but admire GOP and libertarian principles. Plan to work in municipal government.
