![]() Actually, Americans and Norwegians are quite similar, I supose. Thing is, as this Polish-Norwegian scientist said: While the Brits are a little disappointed about their role in the world today, and the Irish are slightly Nevrotic, Norwegians seem to be among the most pleased with their own efforts and accomplishments both in politics and sports".

I come from many countries although I reside in the USA I consider myself a western European. I have Dutch (and Pennslyvania Dutch), Bavarian, Swedish, Celtic & English relatives which can sometimes make me feel very confused.
It's actually fun in a way having all these differences that are in some ways closely similar - I can cloak my way into several cultures. Some of my early German American relatives spoke only German before the main language became English by 1 vote. Some of them braught trades here to the usa such as stone masonary, and distilation beer / liquir making. They where all very hard 2 handed workers many of them being masons. If you go to Wisconsin one of my Bavarian relitives built a Stone Hotel there - I think thats pretty net myself. Although I never met them I know they strugled to fit in and that makes me proud. I live my life like an American but I'm predominatly a western European person. Well for what ever that's worth I hope you don't take that out of context I have respect for all people and would even considered becoming a rabbi thanks to the shamefull hollicost mess. |

Cool Neal Van- You've got relatives all over the world. Makes me feel sort of boring
![]() If you take a look at my y-cromosome, you'll discover that I decent from one place, where my fathers side of the family has been since the vikings. My mother I am not that sure about, other than the north of Norway, and also way down south in Porsgrunn. but my fathers family's story is collected in some books (much like the phantom's )

My grandfather just loved joke about the 10 swedes and
1 nowegian or was it 5 . Porsgrunn noted for the porcelain - cool. That would be a cool place to tour. Hum home of the 2001 games - very pretty. |

But I would advise you to take a look. The coast is pretty good, and there are many places to visit when there. But the porcelain isn't really all that much to look at.
