Ok the war was not only because of american retaliation against iran. But still america was on the side of the iraqi's and supported their economy, increased the ambition of saddam, and supplied weapons.

if the fucking world didnt also sign, ask for , and enforce the UN sanctions you want to tout as bad

remember its the UN the organization that has more than the USA in it that put in effect and enforced them

I know that doesnt fit your little world view where america is to be blamed for everything but thats really your problem
