I call them tragically blocked victims of the most partisan group of tyrant lickspittles that have ever perverted our system to their own evil ends. Even with a majority the Dems simply don't have the numbers to defeat the Republicans AND the President. The whole idea of our system, after all, is that the individual reps will vote for the good of the country and not stay in lockstep with party ideology and a failed executive when it is clearly against the interests of the American people. Fat chance on that with this crew.

Fortunately, the Republican leaders cannot leave well enough alone and are now using, "how can you be so stupid as to let us do such stupid things" as an argument for the other side lacking judgement, apparently in the mistaken belief that the rest of the people are as stupid as them and will accept such a truly idiotic premise as blithely as they propose it. Maybe once they egregiously insult our intelligence as well as our pocketbooks and morals we will vote them ALL out of office this time

The real problem is we were never supposed to have a two party system. The government was supposed to be a system of small factions so that no one faction could control a majority of the government

Today we're at 4 months and counting until the wicked witch is dead.

Even then, in his last week, Bush will still be getting on-the-job-training.

Yes, I do. It's the only logical explanation for the things that have happened. Bush alone couldn't come up with everything that has happened. He wanted to be president so he chose advisors that would help him get what he wanted and they got to ride to the top.
