Well imho he did more than that, IF those communes would have worked out he would certainly have proliferated them and in other ways he did enact socialistic precepts as to the new deal prgms etc. He had his ‘Brain trust’ many of which were those original travelers to Moscow whom met with Stalin and lauded the soviet model etc.
Roosevelt himself acted irresponsibly and deep down knew it , for short term political gain he created what he later called a ‘dangerous narcotic’, i.e. the entitlement mentality and the prgms that act as the agent.

In NYC families earning over 1 million will be hit with a 57% tax rate if his health car goes through.

A teacher in NYC and her husband that works a job for 15hrs a day in some bank can clear 1 millioin.

They would be better off if SHE quit her job, and he kept working, but not doing as weel to avoid a big bonus.
