Do try to keep up. I'm not sure what I think about this kind of legislation. Maybe because I've never experienced anything related to it, either as a victim or perpetrator, it's hard for me to decide, I dunno.

Correct, you haven't committed a crime but you are definitely full of hate. Apparently you can tell the difference between a crime and your thoughts. Now apply that to the law. There shouldn't be hate crimes as there are already laws that cover w/e crime that was committed.
