The ignorance of much of America is even more astounding.

It's a country where conservatives aren't at all conservative anymore when it comes to the economy, the growth of gov't, on nation building, or the environment. Just what are conservatives actually conservative about anymore? They created the DHS, which no one can properly explain the function of in a manner that doesn't make any of us laugh out loud at it's unnecessary excess.

Meanwhile, liberals are now the conseratives on not wanting to nation build anymore, as well as on the environment, and as far as I can tell, on healthcare now, since the healthcare bill is actually going to clock in as less expensive than maintaining the status quo.

Liberals in America are actually more conservative when it comes to sex ed as well, while conservatives are liberal and wreckless on their policy of trying to make sex as dangerous an activity as possible.

"New age" progressive liberalism is nothing more then a objection of sorts to traditional standards, morals and ethics.

That's pretty much what it comes down to.

I mean if its the oppose of what conservatives want new age progressive liberals are down for it.

As long as the GOP in America today harbors the most idiotic base of people in our society, I just can't see how they are "still better than the Dems".

I'd have more respect for the GOP had they actually followed what Bush was campaigning on in 2000 and what they believed before then about no nation-building and little gov't interference in our lives and smaller gov't, but in the last 8 years the deficit exploded, they created the redundant DHS, they said they stood for getting big brother off our backs but then passed the unpatriotic Patriot Act, and completely flip-flopped on nation-building in not only one, but in two countries.

And with Bachmann, Palin, Beck and Limbaugh as the defacto faces of the GOP leadership and a party that does not have the will to smack them down, the Republican party these days is a sick joke that does not resemble at all it's core values of the past.
