Absurd.
I can't help it if you cannot recognize that people can voice opposition to something without HATING the person for it.
Here's a nickel...go play somewhere else.
Yeh, sure you're all very civilly and quite intelligently agreeing with each other. As soon as anyone dares disagree with the general opinion that Obama is an utter fool who can't even make a speech right THEY'RE the hatemonger.

O had to say SOMETHING about the conference he was at that is, after all, why he was there to begin with. He said ONE PARAGRAPH and he said it at the only appropriate time there was to deliver it.

There is no way Obama could have made that announcment without looking awkward, as it was an awkward thing under any circumstance.

That's an impossibility as, by your own admission, the "man" is perfect.

Got news for ya', son, he ain't. He's far from it.

This guy could fuck up a vacant lot...

I'm not sure he deserves credit for that. The Dems could probably have put up a parsnip on a toothpick and it would have beaten any republican after the fiasco that was Bush's second term. Walter Mondale could have done it. The fact that the O had to engage in underhanded campaign tactics to get it done says a lot to me about his actual viability as a candidate.

I heard his teleprompter was out with the Swine Flu that day, and Rham was busy wrapping more fish.

Re: The President's Bizarre Introductory Remarks

BTW:

Ah, the dangers of giving shout outs without a teleprompter. Crow is not a Medal of Honor recipient. As noted by the Congressional Medal of Honor Society:

SO ummm OPPPS this guys actually does not even have a model of honor, and it was OBAMA that actuallyu gave him the medal of freedom.. BIG differance...

The Medal of Honor is the highest award for valor in action against an enemy force which can be bestowed upon an individual serving in the Armed Services of the United States. Generally presented to its recipient by the President of the United States of America in the name of Congress, it is often called the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Crow's name is not included on the Society's Medal of Honor recipient list. He was, however, awarded the Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor, in August.

Obama, often described as "cerebral" by the mainstream media, should know the difference between the Medal of Honor and the Medal of Freedom, especially since he personally awarded the latter to Crow. Don't expect his blunder to receive wide coverage. It's not something he can blame George Bush for.

Hes a politicians. THis is how politicians do things. They have no connection to what they are actually saying. Clinton was the same way. Its not like he actually cares about the individuals in his command.

I noticed that when I linked to his wikipedia page. He was nominated for the congressional medal of honor by several senators, but he didn't win the award. He does sound like a very interesting guy though. Obama's error shouldn't reflect negatively on Chief Crow as nothing Chief Crow did in this context was wrong.

Obama did screw up there. I wonder if he was a bit distracted by how he was going to transition into the Fort Hood tragedy. Naw, that couldn't be it, Obama is pure evil.

I don't believe anyone has said anything derogatory about Crow...

"Distracted"?

Please.

Maybe he shouldn't have worried so much about giving "shout outs" and, instead, should've opted to address the most pressing issue of the day. Then he wouldn't have had to worry about any "transition"...
