I think Obama got it wrong here. However, the "jumping to conclusions" happens a lot. Most (if not all??) Muslims in the US are perceived as terrorists, just as any black man driving a Mercedes is assumed to have stolen it. I understand what Obama's point was with his mate, but he should have then applied the same generalisation to this latest issue.

Do you beg to differ? How is it then that if you listen to people talk on the news etc, anytime anyone sees a Muslim they suspect the person is a terrorist. Just like many African Americans are perceived as criminals. I'm not saying everyone thinks that, but you certainly can't deny the fact that a great number of people believe that.

Yes, some people think like that, wherever one goes, but now you're going from 'any' to 'many'.
