One of himself pictured on Mt. Rushmore....ooookaay.

Except the President isn't behind this. The pieces were sent out to schools and the children were asked to decorate it as part of a project, where they could depict pretty much what they wanted. They then send the things back and it was used as christmas decorations.

As a matter of fact, some republicans called it "socialism" and "indoctrination" to ask schoolchildren to decorate christmas ornaments...

I don't know what you are taliking about.
That is not at all where the decorations came from.

I find it curious, no, troubling that whomever, school children ( which is weird all on its own) etc. using an image of Mao as a decorative ornament.

Troubling indeed.
Somewhere around 50,000,000 died as a result of him.
And he is on a Christmas ornament, in the living room of an American President.
Mystifying.
Obama himself in no way had anything to do with it being placed there, however he certainly has something to do with it still being there.
