No, its the Boy Scouts, they are very respected nation wide. And, they have a right to exclude people who behave contrary to the groups morals, and there is nothing wrong with that.

There have been a few instances of scout leaders molesting boys. Liberals have been very critical of the BSA for "allowing that to happen", but are still critical of a requirement that attempts to make that less likely to happen.

Because the gays are all child molesters, didn't you know? I mean, it makes perfect sense that if you're attracted to men, that you would similarly be attracted to young boys. It's the same reason all straight men molest little girls.

Obama has already lost on this 'issue'

Obama had lost on this before he choose what to do. He lost on this before it was even brought to his attention.

Go and piss off a key group of supporters... the radical gay community... a group that he has already disappointed.

Don't go and disappoint 45k worth of parents and future leaders of their communities.

I say this with all modesty and humility...

Scouts lead their communities. They are trained to do so... they are instilled with the ideal of public service and most of us do.

These 45,000 young men (and women) are those leaders of tomorrow. Their leaders there with them are those same leaders today. These are the people that run the United Way campaigns, The Heart Association drives, 'Walks for the Cure,' Boys and Girls Clubs, local fairs and festivals... of all types of things, these are the folks that sit on park boards, and are hospital trustees, PTO leaders, leaders in their local churches, and take part in local and statewide politics.

Almost every non-profit you could name (in this town at least) is heavily populated by Scouts... past and present.

That's the choice Obama made.

He's already lost.
