"There is no gain in arguing with a poo flinging monkey. While his
gibbering and raucous cries of victory may seem obnoxious in your ears
as you walk away, he will soon be quietly sitting behind his bars again
and licking his own feces off his fingers as you carry on with your day."

Big mistake!
It is precisely what YOU think is obvious, and what YOU think 99% would agree with that is generally just propaganda or spin!
So, now we are all aware where your "information" comes from!
From your sense of what is "obvious," which is "obvioulsy" skewed!
Now that this is clear (thank you by the way for the clarification!), I will just ignore your posts!
Good night!![]()

Steve is the type who thinks the Bush Recovery will finally overtake the Obama Recession pretty soon.
Just to be clear, John McCain ended up receiving less individual military donations from actual members of the military than Obama did, but McCain finally beat out Obama by a hair when people at the DOD contributed the maximum towards the end of the campaign. Here's a link to that.
McCain Edges Obama With Military Donors - NYTimes.com
Ron Paul and Barack Obama benefited the most because they were the leading anti-war candidates in their respective parties at a time when even the military knew how screwy Iraq and Afghanistan were.
Conservative or liberal, all the Canadian forces I know agree that Afghanistan will simply go back to the way it was the minute we leave there.
The jury is still out on Obama, who imho is about on par with Ronald Reagan in that the both of them know how to make you feel proud about America despite the fact that the policies governing the country continue to be trickle-up economics that is causing the middle class to be wiped out.

Obama could have been a really great President if he'd had he'd known how to use the power he was so masterful at getting. From 2008 to 2010 he was probably the most powerful President in the last century short of FDR. He let a tiny cadre of self-interested turncoats who Kennedy would have jawboned into line in one night almost completely paralyze his administration.
It's quite possible he will turn out to be more effective now than when he had the super majority. His talent, as was noted, seems to be in building concensus, not handling it properly when it it pretty much given to you.

Obama is incredibly similar to Bush, but for some reason folks like Danny would stand in line to throw themselves off a cliff to please him.
He is amazingly good at telling certain groups of folks exactly what they want to hear in a manner that makes them think he's different from every other politician.
Then, when the teleprompter gets turned off, he goes and does something completely different from what he just said - and his throngs of adoring fans get all misty eyed and post threads about how happy they are to be alive while he's President. Even when he's President of a different country.
Meanwhile:
- Secret detentions continue
- Habeas Corpus is still unlawfully suspended
- The deficit skyrockets, bringing the country to the edge of financial ruin
- We're still involved in two wars, plus we've exponentially increased bombing Pakistan
Just a few of the things Obama sold his lemming-like followers a big line of crap on. And yet they're so blinded by this idol-worship shit that they can't even bring themselves to condemn his outright deceit when it is clearly proven.
It's really kind of scary. Think Jim Jones, writ large.
