Stand by for the Birthers to lose their minds

    ROFLMAO!

President Obama posted a video message to Kenyans regarding their upcoming elections, and opened with a greeting in Swahili.

I have no complaints with what he said, and I have ZERO doubt that he is a US citizen and fully eligible for office.

The Birthers, on the other hand, are almost certainly going to come unglued over this. Stand by for pure comedy gold....

On a serious note though, i wish he'd stop meddling in the domestic affairs of other nations.

When the turmoil was indeed going on 5 years ago, where the hell was he? Now that all is well and fine, he sees it fit to go and pat people on the back and say "do as i say, not as i did"?

Glad he was big enough to say "The US does not endorse any candidate for office", how very noble and big of him...

As if the domestic affairs in his own country were in such perfect order. Geez.

If a man were behind four months on his mortgage and was talking to you about his plans to build an addition on his home you would think him daft and delusional. But in Washington, ignoring a current crisis to discuss grand dreams is called “boldness” and “vision.”

Its irked me for some time though, given he and Hillario, his Secretary of State started to tell the Brits what Cameron should do in "negotiating" with the Argies. I am not sure where the fuck he got off saying that, given there is more legitimacy in re-negotiating his own family's surrender back into Slavery at the hands of the British man centuries back than there is over the Islands.

There are times when Obama just really needs to learn to shut his fucking mouth.

First rule of good communication is to know your audience.

This elitist puts a youtube of his blather on "Whitehouse.gov." My first question is, how many in his audience have internet at all. OF those who do have internet, how many watch youtubes or go to whitehouse.gov to get them?

Sorry, but the president is a dork (and probably a Kenyan by birth and therefore ineligible to hold the office).

Obama is not the first, and he most definitely won't be the last President of the USA to think that they are actually the president of the world.

Re: Stand by for the Birthers to lose their minds

Oh i know, i absolutely agree with that. Its just its one thing to tell Kenya they need to have free and fair elections (*the way Bush did btw) but to say that to Britain is pretty insulting. I get that Britain and the EU are on the verge of becoming banana republics soon enough, but right now most are not yet on par with the likes of Kenya.

For example, can you imagine if Tasmania was a disputed territory and Obama told Australians they need to "sit down and negotiate" with the Chinese as to who owns the Islands? Or if he were to do the same between the disputed Islands separating Russia and Japan? Yeah, like he would ever have the balls to stand up to the Russians.

But he is just full of it in that regard, telling Israel to go back to the 67 borders, that they should give back the Golan heights, next thing you know he'll be re-hashing out the Good Friday peace accord and telling the Koreans that a united peninsula is the only way to go.

All allies are not equal and he needs to bear that in mind now and then.

Britain has been in existence for thousands of years, long before the US was ever around in the way we know it, and Brits have always known how to keep empires and as much as Obama may find that tasteless that's on him. Kenya is another, they wanted independence from the Brits, and they got it. But all the way from Jomo Kenyatta to today, almost every single Kenyan leader and election has been strife and full of fraud and corruption. Instead of trash talking about independence, negotiations and colonial powers and their imperial ways perhaps he should have learn a bit about why colonies and territories ended up the way they did and why we all have gotten to this stage now.

The government needs to get off its high horse and fix the rampant voting problems in the USA before telling the rest of the world how to run their elections. Ours can be some of the least transparent, least verifiable elections in certain jurisdictions.

At least the birthers seem to have moved on to other craziness.

I don't buy into the theory of only mending things abroad when things are better at home. Most Presidents should be able to do multiple things at a go. What i am saying is that when you do meddle overseas they make sure it is for the right reason. Telling Kenya to end violence and have free and fair elections seems a somewhat genuine cause. Telling Britain to "negotiate" with Argentina over the Islands is certainly not legitimate and Obama has absolutely no business telling Britain what to do in that regard, at all.

Well, that and didn't a case finally get accepted for review by the SCOTUS?

Well, that depends on the severity of what's going on at home, right? If we are having big issues at home it is not unreasonable to say that we shouldn't be getting involved in the minutia of other countries, right?
