I spoke to a drug treatment counselor today, and she said something that I had never heard before. Namely, "drug abusers have either very rigid boundaries,or no boundaries at all". She said that her treatment center teaches the abusers to have rather "high boundaries" but not totally rigid boundaries. We discussed the concept of being a "team player" and the desire of capitalistic endeavors to try to push their employees to cooperate with management and expand their boundaries. " The team player concept is something we discourage" she said.
Is this a hindrance to getting our employees to cooperate with managements desires? What do you think?
